What you need to know about becoming a Tebunah Volunteer:

Any time during any school day – Monday thru Friday 8:15 to 3:15
Choose the time and date best for you.  The staff of Altura works with all Tebunah volunteers to place us in areas where they need help based on when we are available.  They only request that we are consistent in our attendance once volunteer times are established.

HOW DO I GET STARTED?

WHEN DO THEY WANT ME?

NOTE: After completing the request form, the confirmation will show you a link to the Sterling Volunteers website. Follow that link and you will have to log in using your established login credentials for that platform to request the background check.
The “good deed code” to use in order for Aurora Public Schools to pay the background check fee is: aps301v – You must use that code to ensure we pay and receive the result.
Once the Sterling background check information is submitted, email your name to Altura Principal Emily El Moudaffar at eelmoudaffar@aurorak12.org.  She will reach out to Aurora Public Schools to get the green light for you to volunteer any time and any day!!  The results of the screening usually come back very quickly, within a day or two, so there shouldn’t be a big delay.
